The Bread and Honey House Mesa: A Culinary Gem in Mesa, AZ

I had already tried a salad from here that was brought to me, and it was really good. However, this was my first time in the restaurant. The line was pretty long, which is a good thing. The menu is simple. The restaurant and restrooms were very clean. My coworker had the buffalo chicken salad and said it was amazing. It certainly looked amazing. My fish sandwich was pretty good. For my liking, it needed more sauce. Was it the best fish sandwich I’ve ever eaten? Possibly. Their fries are as limp as a shoelace, which I don’t care for. I like thin, crispy fries. The best part about this place was the girl who worked the counter, answered the phone, bust the tables, seated guests, delivered the food, And made sure you had everything throughout the meal. Yes, this was one human doing all this. Given the lazy nature that has crept into the food industry, I’m going to guess that there were more people assigned to work this day, but they called in, faking sick. To my astonishment, this girl handled all of these tasks without a hiccup in service. I have no idea how she did it. Is it possible? She was also back there cooking the food? I certainly hope not. We felt so bad for the girl that, although we had already tipped when we ordered our food, we tipped her in cash, a second time, when I asked for more tartar sauce and she had it to me within 20 seconds while doing 100 other things. They should clone this girl!

We really enjoyed our breakfast here! The place is clean, professional, warm & the food is yummy. The green chile pork country fried steak was a standout! The gravy is outstanding. The roasted potatoes could use a little more seasoning but they are well cooked. The breakfast bowl was filling with well seasoned diced potatoes but the roasted tomato salsa was very one note. The Sunshine Omlette w/fruit was the best egg white omlette I've had. Perfectly balanced, well seasoned & creamy. The fruit was ripe & fresh. Lastly, the Country Chicken Fried Steak is one we often order and this didn't disappoint. Very happy we went here!!!

From the amazing food bursting with flavor to the incredibly kind staff and the spotless bathrooms and dining area, this gem in Mesa is a MUST-visit! The owner is such a sweetheart, and his skills as a chef are out of this world. Every dish was not only beautiful to look at, but the taste was just as incredible. The mocha coffee was phenomenal, and even though they hadn't made any horchata when I first ordered, they made some right away and even brought me a complimentary glass – and wow, it was the best I've had! Highly recommend this place! I'll definitely be back and telling all my friends about it.

Was a fantastic experience for my first time going with some friends. We each got a different main meal and shared the crepes together. My only real negative here was the guy bussing our table was trying to take every dish that was there just because we weren't actively interacting with it and had to stop him from taking me last 3-4 bites and full cup of water. Otherwise it was all a fantastic experience and I would definitely come back for more visits here.

Bread Honey House Stopped by this cozy little breakfast spot with a unique setup—grab your menu at the door, find a seat, then head back up to order. Heads-up: the wait for food was about 40 minutes, so plan accordingly. That said, the food made up for it! Everything was fresh, flavorful, and definitely worth the wait. Solid local gem if you’ve got the time and patience.

Came on a busier day than usual. The food came out super fast, but the tables weren't kept up with. It's a little different ordering with the hostess and paying first, but the big eating area makes up for it. The food is DELICIOUS and they use good ingredients with interesting new menu options. Great for a family brunch or a simple date.

Stopped for brunch while passing through. Orders are placed at the counter and brought to the table. They offer breakfast and lunch with some light alcoholic choices, tea and bottled drinks. Staff were engaging and helpful. We ordered the recommended carnita omelette and a Cuban sandwich. Both were excellent. The place is roomy and there are plenty of seats. It was clean in both the dining and rest room areas. We were pleasantly surprised with our visit here. Highly recommended.

1st time trying this place and its very nice and inviting when you walk in. Didn't really understand how ordering worked so we just followed the persons in front. You order at the counter and a very nice young lady takes your order and its open seating. I had the chicken bacon avocado sandwich, it looked very impressive. It was good but lacking seasoning and it was quite messy; but the fries were really good, i have to say.
